Residents of Union City and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to help control the local cat population through an upcoming low-cost spay and neuter clinic. Public Vet, in partnership with Randolph County, will host a one-day clinic for cats and kittens six weeks and older on June 30, 2026, in Union City, Indiana.

This clinic is open to all cats, including feral and free-roaming cats. Organizers emphasize that feral cats must be brought in live traps to ensure the safety of both the animals and staff. The service is designed to be quick and convenient, offering same-day drive-up check-in and discharge for pet owners and caregivers.

The cost for the procedure is $100 per cat. Assistance may be available for residents who are unable to afford the full fee, helping ensure that financial barriers do not prevent participation.

Spaying and neutering pets is a critical step in reducing overpopulation, preventing unwanted litters, and improving overall community health. Events like this clinic help reduce the number of stray animals while supporting responsible pet ownership.

Residents interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance at www.pub.vet to secure a spot.

By taking part in this clinic, Union City residents can play an active role in keeping the community safe, healthy, and humane for both pets and people.
