Union City residents are invited to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the new ADA-accessible playground at Harter Park. The Playground Paradise Ribbon Cutting Ceremony marks an important milestone in creating a space where children of all abilities can play, connect, and grow together.
After years of dedication and perseverance, this project is nearing completion thanks to the strong support, commitment, and generosity of the community. Donations and local involvement have played a vital role in bringing this vision to life, helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment for families across Union City.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is being organized by students involved in the Playground Paradise group, highlighting the impact of youth leadership and community engagement. The event will take place on May 12 at 1:00 PM, with a rain date scheduled for May 14 at 1:00 PM, at Harter Park (West Division Street, near the Union City Pool and basketball courts).
Residents are encouraged to attend and celebrate this exciting addition to Harter Park. The new playground represents a meaningful step forward in ensuring that all children—regardless of ability—have a place to play and belong.
