The City of Union City is announcing an upcoming traffic change designed to improve safety and traffic flow at the intersection of N Stateline Road and W Deerfield Road.
In the coming days, Randolph County crews will begin preparations by installing a STOP AHEAD warning sign approximately 500 feet north of the intersection. Once this precautionary step is complete, STOP signs will be added for both northbound and southbound traffic, officially converting the intersection into a four-way stop.
This update comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety. With increased traffic in the area, the new traffic pattern aims to reduce the risk of collisions and improve overall efficiency for motorists.
Drivers are urged to stay alert and use extra caution as they adjust to the new stop conditions.
“The safety of our residents and visitors is always a top priority. This traffic change is a simple but important step in creating a safer roadway for everyone,” city officials stated.
The City of Union City Indiana and the Village of Union City Ohio thank the public for their cooperation and attention to this important update.
