Union City’s 4th of July celebration, held this year on Saturday, July 5th at Harter Park, brought hundreds of people together for an unforgettable evening of community, food, and fireworks.
With festive music, mouthwatering eats, and fun for all ages, the event had something for everyone. Families lounged on blankets and lawn chairs while kids enjoyed face painting, games, and colorful glow sticks lighting up the night. The food vendors were a crowd favorite, offering up everything from BBQ and pizza to lemon shakeups and snow cones in every flavor imaginable.
“The turnout was fantastic,” said city manager Steve Shoemaker. “It’s always special to see the community come together like this—and the weather couldn’t have been better.”
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the night ended with a stunning fireworks display that lit up the Harter Park skyline and drew cheers from the crowd. It was the perfect finale to a celebration full of hometown pride and summer joy.
